Together with KPMG and architect Hubert Jan Henket the plans to open a branch in Amsterdam of the St Petersburg Hermitage Museum were developed and the feasibility tested for the planned museum in the 17th century Amstelhof complex in the centre of the city. Following the positive outcome of the feasibility study the plans were then further developed for the first phase - the small Hermitage which opened in 2004 in one of the buildings in the Amstelhof complex.
