What would a regional visual narrative for the Veluwe look like and who should be involved in developing it?

Regions in the Netherlands must do more to promote themselves in the same way that Tuscany has done in acquiring worldwide renown as a tourist destination. As part of their tourism policy, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the provinces therefore started working on their own 'regional visual narratives' (RVN). With its first RVN for the Veluwe the province of Gelderland focused on providing an economic boost for the region΄s leisure sector. LAgroup helped to produce the narrative, a process that started by identifying the Veluwe's DNA in consultation with the various sectors active in the Veluwe. We then organised a field work meeting and a large interactive meeting with prominent figures in those sectors. Taking the Veluwe's DNA as our starting point, we came up with promising, commercial cross-sector projects that could be developed as pilot projects in the province's tourism and recreation policy and mark the first step on the way to implementing the RVN.
