At the request of a property development company in Amsterdam, a concept was developed for a new urban leisure complex at the head of the Java Island (Java-eiland) in the eastern harbour development area in Amsterdam. LAgroup formed part of the team of urban planners, architect and designer. Given the unique location with water on three sides and the importance of water for the positioning of both Holland and Amsterdam, the concept was developed along the theme 'water' focusing on the content, spatial needs and financial consequences.
