How do you transform the Lloyd building in Amsterdam into a landmark hotel?
The Lloyd Hotel was built in the early 20th century as temporary housing for Eastern European immigrants en route to North and South America. Later it became a youth penitentiary and a centre for artists, before opening as a hotel and cultural embassy in 2005. LAgroup assisted the municipality of Amsterdam, the owner of the building, by drawing up a prospectus and in the identification and selection of potential investors and operators for the new hotel.
